Becoming Ganga Blog
Fire It Up!
I’ve been talking about the elements on the last few blogs. This may be an area that you really haven’t ever thought about. But the elements are the basic building blocks for so much of the world we know. To me it’s fundamental information. And having it helps us to use the interconnectedness of creation to create more balance, harmony and joy. For me, those are about the best reasons I can think of.
Gurus, Mantras and Initiations
I am fortunate enough to have been formally initiated into more than one mantra by different spiritual masters. There is an idea that you should only take one mantra but I found myself very drawn to all of the experiences I had and in my soul, I knew there were good choices for me. Early in my yoga journey I had a burning desire to find a guru.
Becoming More Aware
We are living in a new world that is going to continue to change. It must. What we, the most evolved beings ever to walk the face of this planet, have created is not sustainable. How has this happened? Why have we not known we were living out of harmony with the earth itself? You can certainly make a case for one of the reasons being a lack of awareness.
How to Create Conscious Habits
As I sat down today to write, I was guided to take a pause and consider in a way that I had not, what the word habit means. Some of you may know from previous shows that I am a sort of word fanatic. And habit is a word that is often used in a very dualistic way as in good habits and bad habits.
Using Fire to Empower Resolutions & Goals
Well, here we are in a new year with a new strain of covid. Not what any of us were hoping for. What this says to me is that we still haven't figured out how to deal with this situation. You can call it a problem if you like dealing with problems or you can just see it as a situation human beings have created and now must learn to properly handle. We can look at our lives this way also.
Living a Profound Life
Happy almost new year! While there are many that just want 2020 to be over, I’ve also heard countless stories of profound growth, expansion, compassion, clarity and healing. Most of us heard about the great conjunction between Jupiter and Saturn and may have seen it in the nighttime sky! It is truly a spectacular thing to see and it marks the beginning of a new 20 year cycle and a new age!
The Path to Grace Through Trauma
Maybe you’ve read one of my previous blogs about trauma and how there is a path to grace through that trauma. I shared that up until my long time boyfriend's death in late 2020, I really hadn't had much of anything that I would call traumatic happen to me. Well I found out through connections made through my journey experiences that my body had been through some significant trauma that I did not realize until 7 years after it happened.
Plant Medicine Journeys
I want to talk about plant medicine. Using plants as medicine is as old as our civilization. The earth is a wise, conscious force of growth and evolution. She has a uniquely designed all encompassing system of survival for those who inhabit her surface. When we learn to live in harmony, in honor and respect with the earth our planet will change. The chocolate shaman, Keith Wilson, says that cacao is the food for the shift.
Death, Loss, Trauma & Grace
Death, loss, and trauma. These are big topics. Today I want to talk about how to find the grace inside the trauma. It may not be apparent, but if you look, you can find some kind of opportunity in whatever happens in your lives. Maybe not while you are in the middle of it, but when things settle and you choose to make the time for quiet reflection and to look for that opportunity, something will surface.
Grief and Loss
I am no stranger to death. Based on the number of death experiences I’ve had in my life, I know this is an area I chose to learn about this lifetime. I’m also a double Scorpio which is the astrological sign most associated with death which further confirms my choice to be a student of death.
Dealing with Sudden Death
Death is an uncomfortable topic for most of us and often a painful experience we struggle to make sense of and accept. When I decided I wanted to launch my blog platform talking about death, I had no idea just how poignant that was going to be or how much death I was going to face.
